Support Groups

Every patient must attend at least one support group meeting before having Bariatric Surgery. We recommend that you get involved in a support group as soon as possible.

We encourage patients to attend the support group meetings held  prior to surgery because these are held by medical staff that can answer many of your medical questions. When you attend a support group, make sure to have your Support Group Form signed at the meeting and return it to the New Life office.

Your are encourage to also attend Support Groups after your surgery. It’s a great way to stay on track and connect with others who are on the same weight loss journey!

Parkwest Bariatric Support Groups are held the 3rd and 4th Mondays of each month at 5:30pm in the Holston Room of the Physicians Plaza at 9330 Parkwest Blvd. in Knoxville. Space is limited so registration is required. Please call (865) 374-7275 to register.

Bariatric Support Groups
